Center for Excellence Agro Industry (CEAI)

In the interest of consumer safety, nutritional security and public health, there is a need for producing safe and wholesome food products. It has to be ensured that such food products comply with domestic standards and also international standards if products are for exports. There is need for testing of all imported food products to ensure that they are of the requisite domestic standard. Apart from this, the level of contaminants, additives, and pesticide residues in food items is required to be monitored regularly. Therefore, a robust management system coupled with network of food testing and analysis laboratories is required to support the surveillance system of food regulator, timely analysis of samples and ensure compliance of international and domestic standards on food for exports as well as imports. Keeping in view these requirements, CEAI has come up with various courses in collaboration with different technical and training institutes. These courses are

SPROOTS!
Project
SPROOTS are developed using a chemical free process in an environment bearing optimised pressure, temperature and moisture which are required for seed sprouting. Such an environment enables the seeds to germinate into sprouts which have a up to 200% Vitamin, Enzyme, Omega Fatty Acids and Anti-oxidants as compared to regular sprouts available in the market.
